ELECTED SUPERVISOR, DISTRICT 2 SEAT
Supervisor Daisy Morales was elected in November 2014 to the Orange Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors for a 4 year term. Before being elected to public office, Supervisor Morales served as Associate Supervisor for the Conservation District from April 2014 to January 2015.

Supervisor Daisy Morales represents all of Orange County, one of the most dynamic and diverse counties in Florida, which includes the following local governments: Apopka, Bay Lake, Belle Isle, Eatonville, Edgewood, Lake Buena Vista, Maitland, Oakland, Ocoee, Orange County, Orlando, Windermere, Winter Garden, and Winter Park.
ORANGE SOIL & WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT (STATE AGENCY)
Daisy Morales is an elected Supervisor responsible for representing the citizens of Orange County, Florida. Morales works with four other elected or appointed Supervisors on the Board of Supervisor for the Orange Soil & Water Conservation District.
SUPERVISOR'S DUTIES
-
Identify local conservation needs, develop, implement, and evaluate programs to meet them.

Educate and inform landowners and operators, general public, local, state, and federal legislators on conservation issues and programs.

Supervise other volunteers and paid staff working with the District; coordinate with cooperating agency personnel.

Administer the District objectives by delegating tasks through a structure of board officers and members, and committees.

Raise and budget District funds; oversee spending to ensure accountability to taxpayers, and compliance with the District plan and priorities, state laws and regulations.

Report on District activities to the public.

Coordinate assistance and funding from federal, state, and local government, associations, and private groups.
-
Participate with partner agencies and auxiliary organizations to represent the District’s interests.

Board of Supervisors Meet Monthly

The Orange Soil & Water Conservation District’s Board of Supervisors meets on the second Friday of every month at the Orange County Commission Chambers, 201 South Rosalind Ave., Orlando, FL 32802. Meetings begin at 3:00 p.m. Open to the public.
